Reporting abuse, spam or phishing

If you believe a website or service hosted with PaduHost is being used for abuse, report it to abuse@paduhost.com.

The abuse mailbox is monitored during business hours. Reports involving child safety, active phishing or an ongoing attack are treated as urgent and dealt with outside those hours where possible.

What we act on

  • phishing pages and fraudulent websites
  • malware distribution and command-and-control servers
  • spam sent from our network
  • copyright and trade mark infringement
  • content that's unlawful under Malaysian law (or Singapore law, for services hosted in Singapore)
  • child sexual abuse material, which we report to the authorities immediately
  • network attacks coming from our servers

What to include in a report

  • the full web address (URL) or addresses, not just the domain
  • the IP address, if you have it
  • a clear description of the problem
  • evidence, such as the full email headers for spam or a screenshot
  • the date and time you saw it, with your time zone
  • your name and an email address we can reply to

Copyright complaints

A copyright complaint must also include:

  • the work you say has been infringed
  • the material on our servers that you say infringes it
  • a statement that you own the rights or are authorised to act for the owner
  • a statement that the information in your notice is accurate
  • your physical address and telephone number
  • your signature, electronic or physical

Incomplete notices are returned rather than acted on.

What happens next

Stage Timeframe
We acknowledge your report Within 2 working days
We assess it and, where valid, notify the account holder Within 5 working days
The account holder can remove the content or respond Usually 48 hours
We act if it's unresolved and tell you the outcome Within 10 working days of your report
Urgent cases: phishing, malware and child safety Immediate suspension, without notice

We'll tell you what we did. We won't share the account holder's personal details without a court order, as required by the Personal Data Protection Act 2010.

What we can't help with

We're the hosting provider, not the publisher. We can't settle defamation claims, contract disputes or disagreements about whether published content is accurate. These need a court order or an agreement between the parties. We act on valid orders from a Malaysian court or a competent authority.

Is it your own account?

  • Think your account has been hacked or is sending spam? Don't email abuse@. Open a Technical Support ticket instead so we can help you straight away. See What to do if your website has been hacked.
  • Content removed after a complaint you believe is mistaken? Send a counter-notice to abuse@paduhost.com explaining why, with any evidence. We'll pass it to the person who complained.

Full details are in our Abuse and Copyright policy.
