Our free migration service
Migration is free on every plan and covers all the websites on your account. We copy your files, databases, email accounts and email from a host that uses cPanel or DirectAdmin. We then check everything works before you switch over. Most migrations are completed within one working day. Migrations for Roar customers are prioritised.

How to request a migration
- Order your Web Hosting plan. When you order, you can keep your domain with your current registrar.
- Open a Technical Support ticket and include:
- your domain name
- the name of your current host and its control panel
- your control panel login for your current host or a full account backup file
- We'll agree a time with you and copy everything across.
- We'll ask you to check the copy on PaduHost before anything goes live. See Previewing your website before your domain points to us.
- When you're happy, point your domain to PaduHost. See Pointing your domain to PaduHost.
After the move, change the password for your old host's control panel, since you shared it with us.
Keep your old hosting for now
Don't cancel your old hosting until your domain points to PaduHost and everything, including email, has been working for a few days.
Doing it yourself
If you'd rather move your website yourself, the main steps are:
- Download your website files and export your database from your old host.
- Upload your files. See Uploading your website.
- Create a database and import your data. See Creating a MySQL database and user and Managing databases with phpMyAdmin.
- Update your website's configuration file with the new database details.
- Test your website, then point your domain to PaduHost.
