You'll need your email address, its password and the settings in Email settings for your phone and computer (IMAP, POP3 and SMTP).
Adding your account
- Open Settings and go to Apps > Mail > Mail Accounts. On older versions of iOS, go to Settings > Mail > Accounts.
- Tap Add Account > Other > Add Mail Account.
- Enter your name, email address, password and a description, then tap Next.
- Make sure IMAP is selected at the top.
- Under Incoming Mail Server, enter:
- Host Name:
mail.yourdomain.com
- User Name: your full email address
- Password: your email password
- Under Outgoing Mail Server, enter the same host name, user name and password. Don't leave the user name and password blank, even though they're marked optional.
- Tap Next. Your iPhone checks the settings.
- Leave Mail switched on and tap Save.
If the settings can't be verified
Open the account in Mail Accounts and check these advanced settings:
- Incoming: under Advanced, Use SSL is on and Server Port is
993.
- Outgoing: under SMTP, tap the primary server. Use SSL is on, Authentication is Password and Server Port is
465.
If you see a certificate warning, use your server hostname from your welcome email as the host name instead.
