You can create email addresses on your own domain, such as hello@yourdomain.com, in DirectAdmin.
Creating an account
- Log in to DirectAdmin.
- Go to E-Mail Manager and click E-Mail Accounts.
- If you have more than one domain, choose the domain at the top of the page.
- Click Create Account.
- Enter the part before the @, for example
hello.
- Enter a strong password or generate one. Save it in a password manager.
- Set the mailbox size (quota). Leave the send limit as it is.
- Create the account.
DirectAdmin shows the account's settings when it's ready. You can start using it straight away in webmail or an email app.
Next steps
- Read your email in your browser: Accessing webmail
- Add it to your phone or computer: Email settings for your phone and computer (IMAP, POP3 and SMTP)
- Make sure your emails reach the inbox: Setting up SPF, DKIM and DMARC
Managing accounts
In E-Mail Accounts you can change an account's password or mailbox size. You can also delete it. Deleting an account permanently deletes all its email.
Good to know
- Need an address that just passes email on? On Rise and Roar, a forwarder doesn't use a mailbox or count towards your email accounts. See Creating forwarders and autoresponders.
- How many accounts you can create depends on your plan.
- Email uses your account's disk space. See Mailbox size and sending limits.
