Choosing between Malaysia and Singapore hosting

PaduHost offers hosting in two locations: Malaysia and Singapore. Both run on the same technology, including DirectAdmin, LiteSpeed and CloudLinux, and include the same features. The only difference is where your website is hosted.

How to choose it Selected by default Select Singapore on the order page

Choose Malaysia if

  • Most of your visitors are in Malaysia. A server closer to your visitors usually means faster page loads.
  • You or your clients prefer your data to be stored in Malaysia.

Choose Singapore if

  • Your visitors are spread across Southeast Asia or other regions. Singapore is one of the region's main internet hubs, with strong connections to neighbouring countries.
  • Your business mainly serves customers in Singapore.

How to choose

Your account is hosted in Malaysia unless you choose otherwise. To host in Singapore, select Singapore on the order page when you order your hosting.

Changing location later

If you'd like to move an existing account to the other location, open a Technical Support ticket. We'll explain what's involved before anything changes.

Not sure? If most of your visitors are in Malaysia, stay with the default. For most websites, the difference in speed between the two locations is small.
