Registering a new domain

You can register a new domain on its own or together with a Web Hosting plan.

How to register a domain

  1. Go to paduhost.com/domains and search for the name you'd like.
  2. Choose the extension you want (such as .com or .my).
  3. Add a hosting plan if you need one, then go to checkout.
  4. Pay your invoice. Your domain is usually registered within minutes of payment.

For some extensions, such as .com, you'll then receive an email asking you to verify your contact details. Please click the link within 15 days. See Why you received a domain verification email.

Before you order

  • Check your account details. We register the domain using the name, address and email address on your account, so the domain's legal owner (the registrant) is whoever is named there. See Updating your account details and email address.
  • Use an email address you check regularly. Important notices about your domain, including renewal reminders and verification emails, are sent there.
  • Check the rules for the extension. For .my, see Registering a .my domain.

Choosing a good domain

  • Keep it short and easy to spell, so people can type it after hearing it once.
  • Choose .my if your audience is mainly in Malaysia, or .com if it's international.
  • Check that the name doesn't use someone else's trademark or business name.

After registration

If you ordered the domain with a hosting plan, it already points to your hosting. If you registered it on its own, point it to where your website is hosted. See Changing nameservers for a domain registered with us.

Ordering Rise or Roar on the 12-month term? You get one new .com domain free for the first year. Don't add it to the cart. See How to claim your free .com domain.
