Due dates, overdue invoices and suspension

This article explains when we send invoices, what happens if an invoice isn't paid and how to restore a suspended service.

When we send renewal invoices

We email your renewal invoice 7 days before your service's renewal date, which is also the invoice's due date. If the invoice hasn't been paid, we send reminders before and after the due date.

What happens if an invoice isn't paid

When What happens
Due date Payment is due. Your service keeps working.
7 days after the due date Your service is suspended. Your website and email stop working, but your files and data are kept.
30 days after the due date Your service is terminated. Your account and everything in it, including your website files, databases and email, are permanently deleted.

Terminated accounts can't be recovered. Please pay any overdue invoice before the 30-day mark. If you don't plan to renew, download a backup of your website and email first.

We don't charge late fees.

Restoring a suspended service

Pay the overdue invoice in the Client Area. Your service is unsuspended automatically once we receive your payment, usually within a few minutes for card payments. If you pay by bank transfer, send your receipt in a Billing ticket so we can restore your service sooner.

Domains

Domains work differently. A domain that isn't renewed expires on its expiry date, after which the registry's grace and redemption periods apply. See What happens when a domain expires.

Can't pay on time?

Open a Billing ticket before your suspension date and let us know. We'll do our best to help.
